Today, in North China, spot prices of #1 copper cathode against the front-month contract were at a discount of 230-170 yuan/mt, with an average discount of 200 yuan/mt, unchanged from the previous trading day. Transaction prices ranged from 86,950 to 87,230 yuan/mt, with an average of 87,090 yuan/mt, up 310 yuan/mt from the previous trading day. This week, amid continuously rising copper price centers, demand remained weak. Coupled with the month-end period, spot premiums/discounts were under pressure, and market trading activity was low. Today, in North China, procurement sentiment for copper cathode was 1.33, up 0.01 from the previous trading day, while sales sentiment was 2.39, up 0.02 from the previous trading day ().
